Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §1718, as corrected by RR 2003, c. 1, §16, is amended by adding at the end a new paragraph to read:

With regard to the price lists disclosed pursuant to subsections 1 to 3, the hospital or ambulatory surgical center licensed under section 405 shall disclose to the public the actual amounts charged to each of the 10 most frequent payors for each service or procedure.

SUMMARY

This bill amends the law on disclosure of hospital and ambulatory surgical center prices for inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. The bill requires disclosure to the public of amounts charged to each of the 10 most frequent payors for each service or procedure.
