Sec. 1. Department of Economic and Community Development to review existing
regulatory and tax laws. Resolved: That the Department of Economic and
Community Development is directed to review existing regulatory
and tax laws to identify areas where businesses in the State are
placed in a competitive disadvantage in relation to other states
and suggest necessary reforms to correct apparent problems; and
be it further

 
Sec. 2. Reporting date established. Resolved: That the Department of
Economic and Community Development shall report its findings to
the Joint Standing Committee on Business, Research and Economic
Development by December 7, 2005.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Department of Economic and Community
Development to review existing regulatory and tax laws to
identify areas where businesses in the State are placed in a
competitive disadvantage in relation to other states and suggest
necessary reforms to correct apparent problems in a report to the
Legislature due December 7, 2005.
