Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
CONCEPT DRAFT

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208.

 
This bill proposes to amend the current law dealing with
welfare recipients. The bill will require able-bodied welfare
recipients to work with town officials and municipal officers to
seek meaningful employment and require them to work or volunteer
after having received welfare for a certain period of time.
