Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

SUMMARY

 
This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208.

 
This bill proposes to increase the sales tax and expand the
types of products subject to the sales tax. The increased
revenue would be used for education funding. The bill would be
sent to referendum.
