Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 1 MRSA §30 is enacted to read:

 
§30.__Consent of Legislature for gifts of land

 
A gift of land of 100 acres or more must be approved by the
Legislature before acceptance by the State.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires legislative approval for the State to
accept a gift of land of 100 acres or more.
