| | | Initiative: Provides grants and loans for public drinking water | | system improvements matched by $18,000,000 in federal funds. |

| | | This bill authorizes General Fund appropriations of $1,800,000 | | for fiscal years 2005-06 and 2006-07. These funds provide the | | state match over a 2-year period for $18,000,000 in federal funds | | dedicated to the safe drinking water revolving loan fund for the | | purpose of funding infrastructure improvements by public water | | systems as necessary to comply with the federal Safe Drinking | | Water Act of 1996. |
