Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §931, sub-§1, śL-3, as amended by PL 2003, c. 646, §1, is further amended to read:

L-3. The Executive Analyst of the Board of Environmental Protection; and

Sec. 2. 5 MRSA §931, sub-§1, śL-5 is enacted to read:

L-5.__The division heads of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources; and

Sec. 3. 7 MRSA §3, as repealed and replaced by PL 1979, c. 731, §8, is amended by adding after the first paragraph a new paragraph to read:

Division heads are unclassified employees and are appointed by the commissioner.

SUMMARY

This bill requires the division heads within the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources to be appointed by the Commissioner of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources and designates them as unclassified employees.
