Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That the Department of Environmental Protection shall report to the Joint Standing Committee on Natural Resources on the status of the standards in section 1 and submit any recommended legislation to further the purposes of section 1 no later than December 7, 2005. After receipt and review of the report, the Joint Standing Committee on Natural Resources may report out a bill to the Second Regular Session of the 122nd Legislature.

SUMMARY

This resolve requires the Department of Environmental Protection to ensure that oil tank and associated piping leakage detection levels required by the State are not more stringent than those required under federal law and regulations.
