Sec. 1. Urban enterprise zones. Resolved: That the Department of
Economic and Community Development shall develop guidelines and
criteria to create urban enterprise zones. The department shall
submit a report that includes its recommendations to the Joint
Standing Committee on Business, Research and Economic Development
by January 15, 2006. The Joint Standing Committee on Business,
Research and Economic Development may report out legislation to
the Second Regular Session of the 122nd Legislature.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Department of Economic and Community
Development to develop guidelines and criteria for the creation
of urban enterprise zones and to report back to the Joint
Standing Committee on Business, Research and Economic Development
by January 15, 2006.
