	Sec. 1. Department of Public Safety and Public Utilities Commission to review E-9-1-1
system. Resolved: That the Department of Public Safety and the
Public Utilities Commission shall examine the problems and issues
surrounding the efficiency of the E-9-1-1 system. In conducting
their review, the department and the commission may invite the
participation of interested stakeholders. Based on their review
of the issues, the department and the commission shall develop a
proposal to improve the efficiency of the E-9-1-1 system; and be
it further

Sec. 2. Submission of proposal. Resolved: That no later than November 2,
2005, the Department of Public Safety and the Public Utilities
Commission shall submit their proposal, along with any
implementing legislation, for presentation to the Second Regular
Session of the 122nd Legislature. The department and the
commission are authorized to introduce a bill related to their
proposal to the Second Regular Session of the 122nd Legislature
at the time of submission of their proposal.

SUMMARY

This resolve directs the Department of Public Safety and the
Public Utilities Commission to develop a proposal to improve the
efficiency of the E-9-1-1 system and to submit their proposal and
any implementing legislation to the Second Regular Session of the
122nd Legislature.
