| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §10657 is enacted to read: |

| | | Except as provided in section 11301, a person may not feed | | bears in the wild. |

| | | A person who violates this section commits a Class E crime. |

| | | This bill prohibits the feeding of bears in the wild. It does | | not apply to bear baiting for hunting. |
