Sec. 1. Photographic lineup procedure policy. Resolved: That the Board of
Trustees of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, established by
the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 25, section 2802, shall study
the photographic lineup identification procedures used by local,
state and federal law enforcement agencies and develop a uniform
photographic lineup identification procedure to be used by all
law enforcement agencies in this State. The board shall report
by January 15, 2006 to the Second Regular Session of the 122nd
Legislature with its findings and recommendations and necessary
implementing legislation.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the Board of Trustees of the Maine
Criminal Justice Academy to study the photographic lineup
identification procedures used by law enforcement agencies and
develop recommended uniform procedures to be used to conduct
photographic lineups.
