pursuant to section 434.__Within the practice protocols the | registered cardiovascular invasive specialist, under the | supervision of a cardiologist, may: |

| | 1.__Baseline patient assessment.__Perform baseline patient | assessment; |
|
| | 2.__Evaluate patient response.__Evaluate patient response to | diagnostic or interventional maneuvers and medications during | cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures; |
|
| | 3.__Provide patient care and drug administration.__Provide | patient care and drug administration commonly used in the cardiac | catheterization laboratory under the direction of a qualified | physician; |
|
| | 4.__Act as first assistant.__Act as first assistant during | diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures; |
|
| | 5.__Monitor and analyze hemodynamic data.__Monitor and analyze | hemodynamic data during all therapeutic and diagnostic | catheterization procedures; and |
|
| | 6.__Assist in advanced cardiac life support procedures.__ | Assist in advanced cardiac life support procedures. |
|
| | A cardiovascular invasive specialist may practice only under | the supervision of a supervising cardiologist.__A supervising | cardiologist may not supervise more than 2 registered | cardiovascular invasive specialists at any one time. |
|
| | A cardiovascular invasive specialist shall practice within the | written scope of a hospital's practice protocols.__The hospital | shall adopt these practice protocols, which must be signed by the | supervising cardiologists and cardiovascular invasive specialists | practicing at the hospital.__Copies of the protocols must be on | file at all practice sites.__The protocols must include at a | minimum the following: |

| | 1.__Names of supervising cardiologists.__Names, license | numbers and practice addresses of the supervising cardiologists; |
|
| | 2.__Names of cardiovascular invasive specialists.__Names and | practice addresses of the cardiovascular invasive specialists; |
