Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §3207, sub-§1, ¶B, as enacted by PL 1997, c. 316, §3, is amended to read:

B. May not sell wholesale generation service except incidental sales necessary to reduce the cost of providing retail service.

SUMMARY

This bill permits a consumer-owned utility to sell wholesale generation service, beyond sales that are merely incidental, when necessary to reduce the cost of providing retail service.
