later than October 1, 2006 and must include the amount of
recoveries accrued, the amount received, the amount outstanding and
the amount determined uncollectible as of June 30, 2006, July 31,
2006 and August 31, 2006, broken down by state and federal funding
sources. The report must also include the status of any federal
changes in reimbursement or policy as a result of the Maine claims
management system-related difficulties.

 
Sec. DDD-2. Legislative intent; MaineCare reports. It is the intent of the
Legislature that the Department of Health and Human Services
comply with the MaineCare annual and monthly reporting provisions
contained in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, section 3174-B
and any other reporting provisions required by law.

 
Sec. DDD-3. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations
and allocations are made.

Medical Care - Payments to Providers 0147

 
Initiative: Transfers fiscal year 2006-07 funding into fiscal
year 2005-06 to support MaineCare costs as a result of Maine
claims management system-related interim payment recovery timing
issues. These funds may be used only to the extent the
department's efforts to recover interim payments from providers
during fiscal year 2005-06 are not sufficient to support fiscal
year 2005-06 MaineCare obligations.

Department of Health and Human Services shall submit a report to
the joint standing committee of the Legislature having
jurisdiction over health and human services matters and the joint
standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over
appropriations and
financial affairs by January 15, 2007 that presents a recommended
plan for paying hospitals
