Sec. WWW-1. Funding for advocacy services for children with serious disabilities.
The Disability Rights Center, the State's designated protection
and advocacy agency for persons with disabilities pursuant to the
Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 511 and under the
Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of
2000, 42 United States Code, Section 15002 et seq. and 45 Code of
Federal Regulations, Part 1386, Subpart B, shall use the funds
appropriated in accordance with section 2 to provide advocacy
services on behalf of children with serious disabilities in
education-related matters.

 
Sec. WWW-2. Appropriations and allocations. The following
appropriations and allocations are made.

Sec. XXX-1. 25 MRSA §1611, sub-§5, as amended by PL 2001, c. 667, Pt.
C, §14, is further amended to read:

 
5. Law enforcement officer or officer. "Law enforcement
officer" or "officer" means an active state police officer,
municipal police officer, county sheriff, deputy sheriff, game
warden, an employee of the Office of the State Fire Marshal who
has law enforcement powers pursuant to section 2396, subsection
7, fire marshal, state judicial marshal or state judicial deputy
marshal, liquor
enforcement officer or marine patrol officer in this State.
