| | Sec. WWW-1. Funding for advocacy services for children with serious disabilities. | The Disability Rights Center, the State's designated protection | and advocacy agency for persons with disabilities pursuant to the | Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 511 and under the | Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of | 2000, 42 United States Code, Section 15002 et seq. and 45 Code of | Federal Regulations, Part 1386, Subpart B, shall use the funds | appropriated in accordance with section 2 to provide advocacy | services on behalf of children with serious disabilities in | education-related matters. |

| | Sec. XXX-1. 25 MRSA §1611, sub-§5, as amended by PL 2001, c. 667, Pt. | C, §14, is further amended to read: |

"Law enforcement | officer" or "officer" means an active state police officer, | municipal police officer, county sheriff, deputy sheriff, game | warden, an employee of the Office of the State Fire Marshal who | has law enforcement powers pursuant to section 2396, subsection | 7, fire marshal, state judicial marshal or state judicial deputy | marshal, liquor | enforcement officer or marine patrol officer in this State. |
