Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill includes ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $774,360 beginning in fiscal year 2005-06 for the Bureau of General Services within the Department of Administrative and Financial Services for the costs associated with the requirement that all facilities owned by the state that consume heating oil use biodiesel fuel.  The additional costs associated with requiring all state-owned motor vehicles that use diesel fuels to use biodiesel fuel can not be determined at this time.
This bill includes General Fund appropriations totaling $4,200,000 in fiscal year 2005-06 for the University of Maine System for the additional costs related to heating facilities and operating motor vehicles and for the capital costs associated with equipment modification.  The University anticipates the ongoing costs of this legislation to be approximately $2,200,000 per year.
This bill also includes ongoing General Fund appropriations of $400,000 beginning in fiscal year 2005-06 for the Maine Community College System for the anticipated increase in operating costs associated with this measure.
This bill also includes ongoing Highway Fund allocations of $1,095,250 beginning in fiscal year 2005-06 for the Department of Transportation for the additional costs related to heating facilities and operating motor vehicles.  The additional costs associated with requiring all state-owned motor vehicles that use diesel fuels to use biodiesel fuel can not be determined at this time.
