Requiring
that the minimum hourly wage by adjusted on October 1, 2006 and every October
1 thereafter, by the percent change in the Consumer Price Index will result
in a future cost to the State as an employer.
The amount and timing of the impact can not be determined and will
depend on when the increase in the minimum wage results in it surpassing the
lowest hourly wage rate paid to state employees. |
