An Act To Increase the State's Share of Retired Teachers' Health Insurance
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §13451, sub-§3, ¶C, as amended by PL 2005, c. 457, Pt. TT, §1, is further amended to read:
C. Forty percent from August 1, 2003 to December 31, 2005; and
Sec. 2. 20-A MRSA §13451, sub-§3, ¶D, as amended by PL 2005, c. 457, Pt. TT, §2, is further amended to read:
D. Forty-five percent after from December 31, 2005 . to December 31, 2006;
Sec. 3. 20-A MRSA §13451, sub-§3, ¶E is enacted to read:
E. Fifty percent from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007; and
Sec. 4. 20-A MRSA §13451, sub-§3, ¶F is enacted to read:
F. Fifty-five percent after December 31, 2007.

This bill increases the State's contribution for health insurance for retired educators from 45% to 50% from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007 and 55% after December 31, 2007.
