Amend the bill in section 4 in §2768 in subsection 3 in the 3rd line (page 2, line 5 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: " subsection 4" the following: ' and if a request for nondisclosure under subsection 6 has not been filed'

Amend the bill in section 4 in §2768 by inserting after subsection 5 the following:

This amendment allows a birth parent to file a request for nondisclosure of identifying information about that birth parent, including release of the original birth certificate. This amendment is similar to current law in Vermont.
