An Act To Prohibit Constitutional Officers from Endorsing Candidates for the Legislature
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §19-C is enacted to read:
§ 19-C. Political activities of constitutional officers
The Secretary of State, Treasurer of State and Attorney General may not endorse a candidate for the Legislature.
SUMMARY
This bill prohibits the Secretary of State, Treasurer of State and Attorney General from endorsing a candidate for the Legislature.
