Sec. 1. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

Initiative: Provides ongoing funds to the Maine State Library to be used to make grants to improve library collections throughout the State, to support interlibrary deliveries, to digitize materials for preservation and statewide access, to improve online data resources and to improve area reference and resource centers. Also adds one Librarian II position and one Librarian III position for ongoing training for Minerva consortium member libraries and to manage and train staff in ensuring database quality and cataloguing standards.
