§ 4372. Municipal waiver option
By vote of its legislative body, a municipality may waive the requirements of this subchapter at any time.’

Amend the bill by striking out all of section 1 and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §4372 is enacted to read:
§ 4372. Municipal waiver option
By vote of its legislative body, a municipality may waive the requirements of this subchapter at any time.’

This amendment is the minority report. It retains the provisions of the bill allowing a municipality to waive the requirements of the Informed Growth Act by a vote of its legislative body, but, unlike the bill, does not require a subsequent referendum.
