| Requiring the Secretary of State to provide public notice regarding the drafting of a question that will be on a ballot for a citizen initiative may result in an additional General Fund expense. The amounts will depend on what constitutes adequate public notice. If the department can use web postings to satisfy the public notice requirement, the costs will be minor. If paid notices in newspapers are required, the costs may be significant. The final costs will also depend on the number of questions submitted by citizen initiatives and can not be determined at this time. | ||||||
