Municipalities will be required to purchase optical scanning devices at an estimated total cost of $1,300,000 and will be required to submit monthly log reports for each voting machine to the Secretary of State.  Costs for the monthly log reporting requirement can not be determined at this time. Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of the Secretary of State will require an additional one-time General Fund appropriation of $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2007-08 for the estimated cost of replacing the state's Accessible Voting Solution system to meet certain technical requirements for the voting process.
