| It is estimated that the Department of Corrections will incur additional costs of $37,945 in fiscal year 2008-09 based on one projected incarceration in a state correctional facility. This estimate assumes that the average cost to the State for a Class B sentence is $94,915, the average length of stay is 2 years and 7 months (913 days) and that the sentence will begin in fiscal year 2008-09. No funding is provided in this bill to accomodate the additional cost. | |||||||||||||||||
