Fiscal Detail and Notes
	The bill would result in additional costs of $200,000 in fiscal year 2007-08 for one-time grants of $40,000 to each of the five Maine Area Agencies on Aging for a demonstration project to supplement services provided under the federal Family Caregiver Support Program.  An appropriation to fund these grants is not needed because the Department of Health and Human Services intends to use unencumbered balances forwarded in the Home-Based Care account allotted for this purpose in Financial Order 03655 F8 approved on September 6, 2007.  Any other additional costs to the Department of Health and Human Services to initiate and implement the demonstration project can be absorbed by the department utilizing existing budget resources.
