Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Secretary of  State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average length for the general election in November.  If the number or size of the referendum questions increases the ballot length, an additional appropriation of $8,000 or more may be required.
In addition, this bill includes a contingent one-time General Fund appropriation of $500,000 in fiscal year 2007-08 to the Department of Conservation for the costs of repair and maintenance of the historical Forest Lodge property in the Town of Upton.  The appropriation is contingent upon passage of the bond issue in the November 2007 general election.
