| This bill reestablishes the voluntary tax checkoff for the Maine Military Relief Fund which sunset on December 31, 2007. It includes an allocation for grants from the Maine Military Family Relief Fund to eligible families of persons who are members of the Maine National Guard or Maine residents who are members of the Reserves of the Armed Forces of the United States. | ||||||
| Maine Revenue Services will require a General Fund appropriation of $5,000 in fiscal year 2008-09 to support the administrative costs associated with the Maine Military Relief Fund income tax checkoff. | ||||||
