|
This legislation
will require a General Fund appropriation to the Department of Environmental
Protection of $93,309 in fiscal year 2008-09 to provide funds for a
Toxicologist position and an Environmental Specialist IV position beginning
in January of 2009 to administer a proposed chemical safety program. An Environmental Specialist III position
will be needed beginning in fiscal year 2010-11 to manage data collection ,
fee collection and perform other duties as necessary to carry out the
purposes of this act. This position
would be funded by dedicated fees imposed pursuant to 38 MRSA section 1693,
subsection 2. |
