Fiscal Detail and Notes
	This bill increases the E-9-1-1 surcharge from the current level of $.30 per month per line or number or for prepaid wireless per 30-day increment to $.37 effective July 1, 2009.  Effective July 1, 2010 the surcharge will increase to $.52.  The change in surcharges will increase Other Special Revenue Funds revenue by $1,286,506 in FY 2009-10 and by $4,043,303 in FY 2010-11 and the bill includes allocations of those amounts to the Emergency Services Communication Bureau in the Public Utilities Commission for the E-9-1-1 program.  Additional costs to the Public Utilities Commission associated with this surcharge change and other administrative duties can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
