| The Child Development Services (CDS) program within the Department of Education will require ongoing General Fund appropriations of $2,304,000 per year beginning in fiscal year 2009-10 for the costs of reimbursing for collateral contact for children who are not covered by MaineCare at the same rate as the reimbursable rate under the MaineCare program when the Individualized Educational Program Team determines the service to be appropriate. This estimate is based on the assumption that 2,400 children within the CDS program who are not covered by MaineCare will need to have at least one hour of collateral contact per month for at least two providers at a cost of $40 per hour. The actual cost will be higher or lower depending on actual experience. | ||||||
