| The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will be required to prepare a public benefit determination for any new or expanding State-owned solid waste facility. Such determinations are limited in scope by law and can be completed within the DEP's currently budgeted resources. The State Planning Office has jurisdiction over State-owned waste facilities and will be required to complete an application to DEP for any new or expanded landfill. SPO will absorb any additional costs to prepare this application within existing budgeted resources. | ||||||
