| This legislation creates the DNA Fund within the Department of Public Safety. It includes an Other Special Revenue Funds allocation to the Department of Public Safety of $106,827 beginning in fiscal year 2009-10 for a DNA Forensic Analyst position and related administrative costs. There will be an increase in Other Special Revenue Funds revenue of $80,300 beginning in fiscal year 2009-10 as a result of charging a $46 fee per person to any person subject to submitting a sample. | ||||||
| This bill includes a General Fund appropriation of $114,979 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $123,971 in fiscal year 2010-11 for the Department of Corrections. This estimate includes one-time funds for computer programming and funds for overtime based on the assumption that each adult probation officer will dedicate one hour per week on DNA fee enforcement activities. | ||||||
