| The Department of Environmental Protection indicates that as many as 15 tank owners may be eligible for relief from the $10,000 deductible. Most of these tank owners have already paid the $10,000 and would receive refunds. This could result in additional disbursements from the Ground Water Oil Clean-up Fund of up to $150,000. If the intent of the bill is to limit relief to only tank owners who have not paid the $10,000, the bill would need language excluding the possibility of refunds to those who have chosen to pay the $10,000 previously. If refunds are eliminated, there may only be a single former tank owner who will benefit from this bill and the cost could be as low as $10,000. | ||||||
