Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
|
|
|
|
|
|
The estimated
cost of performing energy and carbon performance evaluations on state-owned
buildings is estimated to be $222,500 in fiscal year 2009-10 and in
2010-11. This estimate does not
include the additional cost to state agencies that lease space. Although the bill requires the cost to be
borne by the owner of the building, it is likely this additional cost will be
passed on to state agencies through higher lease costs. The exact amount can not be determined at
this time. |
|
The Department of
Public Safety will require a General Fund appropriation of $238,612 in fiscal
year 2009-10 and $250,793 in fiscal year 2010-11 to develop and maintain the
new program. This appropriation
includes funding for one Planner II position, one Clerk IV position, one
Civil Engineer position and related administrative costs. |
|
The
additional costs to the State Planning Office associated with establishing a
training and certification program can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. |
