This legislation
provides for a dual liquor license to allow retail establishments that
currently sell beer and wine to be consumed off premises to be able to sell
wine and beer to be consumed on the premises.
Assuming 15% of the establishments that could potentially qualify for
this particular license would obtain a license, General Fund revenues will
increase by $180,000 beginning in fiscal year 2009-10. The bill includes a General Fund
appropriation to the Department of Public Safety for one Public Safety
Inspector II position and related administrative costs to inspect the
establishments and ensure compliance. |
