| This bill provides an income tax credit up to a maximum of $2,000 for the purchase of a clean fuel vehicle. Annual revenues will be reduced to the General Fund by $515,183 and to the Local Government Fund by $27,115 in FY 2009-10. The full amount of the tax credits will be reimbursed to the General Fund by transfer from the Energy and Carbon Savings Trust Fund by June 15th of each year. This will result in an excess reimbursement to the General Fund of $27,115 and a reduction of funding in the Local Government Fund of $27,115. Additional costs to Maine Revenue Services and the Department of Environmental Protection to certify clean fuels can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. | ||||||
