| The Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources will require a General Fund appropriation of $29,772 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $25,694 in fiscal year 2010-11 for a Planning and Research Associate I position (520 hours annually) and related administrative costs to administer the pilot program and review the applications received for potential impact on farmland. The Farmland Preservation Fund within the department is established with base allocations of $500 to receive funds from any source to acquire farmland or interest in farmland. The Department of Environmental Protection will require a one-time General Fund appropriation of $3,000 in FY 2009-10 for rulemaking costs associated with the bill. | ||||||
