The Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources will require a General Fund appropriation of $18,437 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $51,570 in fiscal year 2010-11 for one half-time Certified Seed Specialist and related administrative costs to conduct testing and supervise the growth and harvest of industrial hemp. Fees assessed to growers of industrial hemp are estimated to increase General Fund revenues by $150 annually beginning in fiscal year 2009-10. |
