| This bill proposes to establish the Gold Star Family Member specialty license plate. The Secretary of State will require a one-time Highway Fund allocation of $10,700 in fiscal year 2009-10 for the cost of manufacturing the plates. No new registration fees are expected, as the cost of registration is the same as a regular license plate. The one-time $5 fee for a special single plate recognizing the gold star award is expected to increase Highway Fund revenues by a minimal amount not requiring any change to the budget. | ||||||
