| The Workers' Compensation Board will require Other Special Revenue Funds allocations of $262,829 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $404,560 in fiscal year 2010-11 for one Management Analyst II position, two Paralegal positions, two abuse unit field investigator positions and one legal secretary position and related All Other associated with the costs of identifying noncompliance with the requirements in this legislation effective January 1, 2010. According to the Workers' Compensation Board, those costs include expanding the monitoring system to identify employers without coverage, changing from a self-declaration application process to a verification process, and conducting on-site investigations. | ||||||
| In order to support the costs of additional positions required to fulfill the requirements of this bill, the Workers' Compensation Board will need to increase its assessment cap established in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 39-A, §154, sub-§ 6(A) by corresponding amounts beginning in fiscal year 2009-10. | ||||||
