Amend the amendment in section 1 in subsection 1 in the first line (page 1, line 22 in amendment) by striking out the following: "A voter" and inserting the following: ' A Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, a voter'

Amend the amendment in section 1 in subsection 1 by striking out all of the last 2 underlined sentences (page 1, lines 29 to 33 in amendment) and inserting the following: ' Notwithstanding any requirement to the contrary contained in this subsection, before November 7, 2012, a person may cast a ballot even if the person does not present the required photographic identification, but must be provided with a notice, designed by the Secretary of State, that describes the identification requirements set forth in this subsection. Beginning November 7, 2012, if a person who wishes to vote does not present photographic identification, that person must be permitted to cast a provisional ballot as provided by section 671-A.'

Amend the amendment by striking out all of section 2.

Amend the bill by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.
