Amend the resolve by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘Resolve, To Waive the Deductibles that the Department of Environmental Protection Imposed on Arthur Drolet in Connection with the Removal of Underground Petroleum Storage Tanks’
Amend the resolve in section 1 in the first line (page 1, line 1 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "fine" and inserting the following: 'deductibles'
Amend the resolve in section 1 in the 2nd line (page 1, line 2 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "fine that was" and inserting the following: 'deductibles that were'
SUMMARY
The resolve directs the Department of Environmental Protection to waive the fine that was imposed upon Arthur Drolet. Since the department did not impose a fine against Arthur Drolet, this amendment, which is the minority report of the committee, clarifies that the Department of Environmental Protection is to waive the deductibles that were imposed against Arthur Drolet in connection with the removal of underground petroleum storage tanks.
