An Act To Require Hospital Credit Reporting That Is Fair to Consumers
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 10 MRSA §1320-A, sub-§1-A is enacted to read:
1-A. Duty of hospital providing information. A hospital licensed under Title 22, chapter 405 that provides information to a consumer reporting agency relating to a delinquent consumer account shall report any extended repayment agreement and the experience of the hospital in collecting payment under the extended repayment agreement.
