An Act To Limit Increases in the Unemployment Contribution Rate
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 26 MRSA §1221, sub-§17 is enacted to read:
17. Change of rate. An increase in the rate of contribution under this section that is scheduled to go into effect within 5 years of the enactment of the increase must receive a vote of 2/3 of the members of the Senate present and voting.
