An Act To Clarify the Maine State Lottery Agent Licensing Process
Sec. 1. 8 MRSA §371, sub-§5, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 505, §2, is amended to read:

Sec. 9. 8 MRSA §376, sub-§1, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 505, §2, is amended to read:

Sec. 11. 8 MRSA §376, sub-§3 is enacted to read:
A person aggrieved by a decision of the commission may appeal the commission's decision by filing a complaint with the District Court and serving a copy of the complaint upon the commission. The complaint must be filed and served within 30 days of the mailing of the commission's decision.
Sec. 12. 8 MRSA §409, sub-§2, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 732, §1, is repealed.
Sec. 13. 8 MRSA §411, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 732, §1, is repealed.
Sec. 14. 8 MRSA §412, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 732, §1, is repealed.

This bill makes the following changes to the law regarding the operations of lotteries.
1. It amends the definition of "person" to include other forms of businesses.
