An Act To Reduce Costs for Businesses with Previous Utility Payment Records
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §716 is enacted to read:
§ 716. Businesses with previous utility payment records
A public utility may not require an escrow or other initial start-up payment from a business customer that has an acceptable credit history with a previous public utility in the State.
