	Additional costs to the Department of Education and local school administrative units to replace the current curriculum and assessment standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics with the Common Core State Standards can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.  This preliminary fiscal impact statement assumes that the gradual phase-in of the Common Core State Standards in Maine will minimize the fiscal impact to local school administrative units.
