This
legislation proposes to eliminate Maine Clean Election Act funding for
gubernatorial candidates. It would
result in an Other Special Revenue Funds deallocation to the Commission on
Governmental Ethics and Election Practices of $1,800,000 in fiscal year
2013-14 due to eliminating payments to gubernatorial candidates. This estimate assumes two gubernatorial
candidates would have qualified for Maine Clean Election Act funding in the
2014 election. |
|
Other Special
Revenue Funds revenue would decrease by $32,500 in fiscal year 2013-14 due to
eliminating qualifying contributions from gubernatorial candidates. |
